There are condiments specially prescribed by the Creator for us, namely the oil used for dipping or greasing food (Qur’an 23:20). It turns out that this is not only makes delicious food, but also maximizes the body’s absorption of what we eat.

Among the essential phytonutrients for our health, some are water soluble and some are oil soluble. Beta-carotene and lycopene for example, both are phytonutrients that are very important for our health, both are present in tomatoes but both are only soluble in oil.

So Mediterranean people, who on average have a longer life expectancy, have a popular food menu in the form of a Mediterranean salad. The main elements, among others, are tomatoes and oil, so all the phytonutrients in tomatoes are absorbed by the body to the maximum.

Likewise, in their olive tree leaves there are phytonutrients that are very important for maintaining vitality — a kind of plant-based doping, what is called Oleuropein , this substance is mainly dissolved in water — so making tea alone is enough to take full health advantage of it.

So what if we don’t usually eat salad and drink olive tea? That’s the function of extraction — taking the essence of biological resources such as tomatoes and olives — packing them in capsules and the like — becoming a phytonutrient booster for our bodies to stay healthy and live long, God willing — even though our diets are different.
