New Resources, New Hunts

It is very possible that our natural wealth has been monitored and traded by other nations for a long time, without our knowledge. In INCI (International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredients), for example, the one that registers Nyamplung Oil is a giant European company, even though the name is very Javanese — because the term Nyamplung is indeed a Javanese term for Tamanu.

Last year I also received research results from researchers at the Department of Dermatology, University of Health Sciences — Turkey, about the potential of Tamanu, especially for medicinal ingredients and treatments related to the skin.

The results of their research concluded that “Tamanu oil generally increased cell proliferation, collagen and glucoaminoglycan (GAG) production, and wound healing”.

The results of their research, among other things, inspired us to first produce NuAge Tamanu Anti Aging because the ingredients are in our hands. We have even registered this Anti Aging with BPOM and God willing, it will enter the commercial production stage this month, those who are interested in becoming distributors or agents can also contact us already.

In the world raw material market, there are at least 20 big players who dominate the Tamanu/Namplung Oil market. There are around 3,700 products that have been formulated with Tamanu oil as the active ingredient for the cosmetic and health industries.

Two types of materials in this photo are commonly used — namely Virgin Tamanu Oil and Refined Tamanu Oil. We can produce both of them very well from the seeds of Nyamplung fruit which are still scattered throughout the country.

Before being hunted by others, why don’t we build the value chain from upstream to downstream?
