MULTI PURPOSE TAMANU OIL
This oil does not need to drill into the bowels of the earth and mine in the middle of the sea to get it, nor does it need to cut down the forest to plant its crops. On the contrary, it is a byproduct of reforestation on critical lands, swampy peatlands, coastal lands with salt/brackish water — and lands where other plants are reluctant to grow.
That’s the oil from the seeds of the tamanu tree or nyamplung, for convenience we use the term Nu Oil — from Tamanu Oil, but it can also be read as New Oil — new oil.
There are three types of these oils that we introduce. The first is Virgin Tamanu Oil (VTO), which is the result of the first cold press. This oil is of high value due to a number of bioactive compounds contained in it, it is also officially listed as an active ingredient for the cosmetic industry worldwide known as INCI — International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients. In the list, VTO is referred to as Calophyllum inophyllum Seed Oil.
The second is Crude Tamanu Oil (CTO), the result of hot pressing of tamanu dregs which the VTO has been taken. CTO can be further processed into various types of fuels and industrial raw materials.
The third is Tamanu Bio Fuel (TBF), the result of CTO processing through Ester/Transesterification ( ETR) , Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) or Enzymatic (EZY). With ETR biodiesel is produced, with FCC and EZY the results are drop-in biofuel — that is, fuel that is exactly the same as the hydrocarbon fuel we use today.
Institutions or corporations that are interested in Nu Oil from upstream to downstream, God willing, we can facilitate.
