The world’s awareness to start migrating from dependence on fossils is not limited to the energy sector, but also to various industrial raw materials.

Those of you who are engaged in the health, wellness, pharmaceutical, perfumery, food, energy, paint/coating industries and various industries in general — definitely use a lot of basic ingredients called solvents. The main functions are to dissolve, dilute or extract compounds that are the main raw materials in each industry.

Due to its wide range of uses, its global market is also huge — around 150 billion dollars this year, and about 97% of it is still come from fossil. Apart from these fossil raw materials being unsustainable, the majority are also at high risk to health and the environment.

Due to the various problems mentioned above, the world’s green chemistry movement is trying hard to replace fossil-based solvents such as alcohol, methanol, petroleum ether, hexane, acetone etc., with various solvent options that are safe from the health side, environmentally friendly, sustainable and of course also must be able to function effectively. It must also have no odor, taste or color — so as not to affect the purity of the main material.

So this is one of the new solvents that we call SolveX, which is completely sustainable and fulfills all the solvent requirements mentioned above. This country has the potential to lead the world in the search for this new solvent, because the ingredients are abundant — it has even been nicknamed this country for a long time, the land of waving palm trees — namely coconut!

Industry players, researchers and other stakeholders can start exploring this potential with us.
