A Natural Self Defense Story
Throughout his life she lived in a harsh, arid nature, salt water, coastal winds, scorching heat and various insects, bacteria and fungi that were always trying to gnaw at his body.
She has no hands to protect herself or just to repel insects that tickle his body, there are no doctors to treat her from every threat of deadly microbial attack, so what does she do to survive?
From within her own body she must build self-defense from all kinds of threats. There are calophyllolide compounds, for example, to help regenerate damaged cells, encourage the production of collagen to make the skin strong, elastin to make the skin resilient, and glycosaminoglycans (GAG) — to support and structure the skin proteins, namely collagen and elastin.
More than that she must also have weapons to fight sunburn and ultraviolet radiation, fight oxidation that makes her age quickly, fight irritation, heal wounds all over her body and of course also to keep her skin moisturized.
When she feels herself threatened, she also reproduces herself massively, that is, giving birth to very many fruits that will be ready to pass on to the next generation. And all this fruit is also equipped with all the strength to survive like that of the mother.
That is the life story of the Tamanu tree and its (prospective) children with extraordinary provisions. We have replanted some of these Tamanu children into a colossal reforestation project — in Indonesia alone there are 14 million hectares of critical and very critical land which is our opportunity to reforest it.
The rest — we process the Tamanu seeds and make products to protect our skin from premature aging, oxidation, sunburn, UV radiation, irritation, injury or just keeping the skin moist, so that our skin can stay strong and resilient.
That is the wealth of the Tamanu tree’s self-defense which we now take part of to become Antiaging which we call NuAge Tamanu Anti Aging. To keep our skin young, while keeping nature sustainable, we will plant at least one Tamanu tree for every NuAge Tamanu Anti Aging unit sold.
